Definition of Active:
A member must fulfill the requirements of the following categories to be considered “active”.
Activity in KIK/Skype: A member should be regularly seen in kik/skype interacting with the clan and participating in group activities.Activity in Game: UAE is a gaming clan, and as such, members are expected to game. 1 hour/week is considered a standard minimum.Activity on Forums: The forums are UAE’s primary channel of communication, and a member’s presence should be visible. 3 posts per week in multiple
forums is considered a standard minimum When you are unable to actively participate in all of the above activities for more than 1 month, you are considered inactive. Members who plan to be inactive for
more than a month must post an L.O.A. Members who do not post an L.O.A and are inactive will be considered AWOL and removed in the next regularly scheduled clean-out.
Leave Of Absence (L.O.A.)
An extended period of inactivity from the clan longer than 1 month.
Taking an L.O.A. does not revoke your status as a member of the clan. We keep track of LOA’s to keep an accurate count of how many members we have active vs how many active members we have in total, as well as to know that you just didn't leave for some reason!
The following conditions apply to Officer’s and General’s only:
If you take an L.O.A. for a period of 6 weeks or less, your position may be temporarily filled to ensure that your duties are still performed by another member. When you return to active duty, you will resume as left off.If you expect to be gone more than 6 weeks it is considered kosher to volunteer to step down to Specialist rank (or you can choose to retire if you are a General). If you do not “choose” to do this, the choice will be made for you. Upon return to active duty, you will be reviewed for promotion. In the event of a serious personal emergency (changes in work/school, etc don’t count) that is beyond your control that could last past 6 weeks, your position in UAE leadership will be preserved given some form of notification within the first 6 weeks.
